Remote Access via GPRS and SMS: PFC200 Controller with 3G Modem

Wirelessly control machines and systems over long distances. Features such as OpenVPN and IPsec ensure a secure connection.

Your benefits:

  • 3G modem
  • Send and receive SMS messages
  • Secure connection via OpenVPN and IPsec
  • Telecontrol protocols
  • Top of the line equipment

Wireless data transmissions can be used for communication with machines and systems in areas that are difficult to access (e.g., renewable energy or mobile applications). One method for extending telecontrol technology is to use the globally available mobile phone network. Which is exactly why the PFC200 Telecontroller from WAGO has a 3G modem as standard equipment.

Saving Costs

You can control, monitor, maintain and run diagnostics on your decentralized machines and systems around the globe using the PFC200 Controller with 3G modem. By detaching yourself from cabled solutions, you can access your controller regardless of location via the internet. This saves time and money: modern data networks take over the routing, communicating, and delivery of data packets.

Making Telecontrol Easy: The 3G Modem

WAGO's newest PFC200 Controller joins the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 equipped with a 3G modem with standard mini-SIM card. The only requirements for mobile communication are a mobile phone contract and a SIM card. The controller provides wireless GPRS Internet connectivity and bidirectional communication via SMS. The mobile network settings can be configured directly from the controller's Web-Based Management.

Secure Connection via OpenVPN and IPsec

Error-free distance monitoring and secure data transmission are among the strengths of the PFC200 with 3G Modem: The controller connects to the mobile network via encrypted Virtual Private Network (VPN) access and supports both OpenVPN and IPsec protocols. A VPN tunnel connects the controller to the network via GPRS and transmits all encrypted data via SSL and TLS, perfectly protecting data from unauthorized access. The VPN can also be configured using the Web-Based Management on the controller.

Always Ready: The Telecontrol Protocols

In addition to the standard version, WAGO's PFC200 is also available with an extended temperature operating range from −20°C to +60°C (750-8207/025-000) and as a telecontrol variant (750-8207/025-001). The telecontroller supports the following protocols: IEC 60870-5-101, -103 and -104, IEC 61850, IEC 61400-25, as well as DNP3.

Everything Included: Top of the Line Equipment

WAGO's PFC200 (750-8207) features two ETHERNET ports and an RS-232-/RS-485 interface for seamless network integration. An integrated network switch enables easy line topology implementation. Additionally, the integrated Webserver provides a user with online configuration options and status information anywhere he or she happens to be. Featuring fan- and battery-free design with SDHC memory, the PFC200 Controller is maintenance-free and extremely robust.
